Description:
Medium-sized to large leaf-warbler with a long supercilium, double wingbar and indistinct crown-stripe. Upperparts are generally duller greyish-green, and whitish underparts are strongly suffused with grey. Wing-bars are not prominent. Supercilium and crown stripe are duller and contrast less with dusky olive sides to crown.
Distribution:
Common summer visitor to all the districts of Gilgit-Baltistan, except for Baltistan and northern borders. Breeds in coniferous and mixed forest, between 1800m and 3200m. Winters in moist deciduous and evergreen broadleaved forest.
Behavior:
Forages restlessly at all levels in trees and undergrowth. Food items obtained mostly by gleaning and by making dashing aerial pursuits; continually flicks wings and tail, and calls almost continuously while in pursuit of insect prey. Food mostly small arthropods, including flies, bugs, small beetles, lacewings, spiders, also larvae, mostly of moths.
